Process

The International Somali Awards recognizes excellence from Somalis across the globe that has made significant progress and contribution to their communities and individual developments. The winners of the International Somali Awards will be selected through an online transparent nomination and voting process from the public.

The entire nomination and voting process will be divided into the following phases:

Nomination Period:
The public wishing to nominate success stories are required to fill in an online form where they will enter nominations and onto which category they belong. Each awards category has specific eligibility and assessment criteria and all entries will be submitted online.

Voting period:
After nominations are closed received and reviewed, an independent, reputable, transparent selection of judges will look at the nominations received and each nominee will undergo a vetting process that will evaluate who should be shortlisted in each category.

When the judges decide on the final shortlist in each category, all final nominees will be showcased onto the website where the public are required to vote in each category who should be a winner. The voting process and final tally is counted and each nominee is respected to ensure integrity, fairness, and transparency.

Awards Ceremony – Winners Announced
The winners of the International Somali Awards will be announced at the Awards Ceremony (one winner from each category) the nominees would take part in media interviews, networking with VIP guests and attendees. The winner will receive a personalised plaque and other selection of prizes.
